Mental Health and Well Being of Black and Minority Ethnic Elders

The programme ran a one year national project that aimed to promote the mental health and well being of black and minority (BME) ethnic elders and to improve access to mental health services.


The project will result in a range of practical resources to improve the access and quality of mental health and care services for

  • a short film for BME elders on ‘living with depression' with voiceovers in several languages,

  • A Guide for Health Practitioners and Voluntary Agencies Working with BME elders.
